My name is Noel Weathington, but when we’re talking health and fitness, please call me Cherry Garcia. Don’t get the wrong idea by my name, when it’s time to talk exercise, the sweetness turns sassy and we get down to work.
When I work with you, my purpose will be to help you achieve total wellness:mind, body, and soul. Health is a product of a fully rounded system and when you work with me we will address all three. With me as your trainer you will not only gain confidence, a positive body image and mindset but you’ll also learn to love yourself. Part of truly loving yourself is becoming aware and cautious of what you put into your body, whether it be what you eat, hear or devote your time to. This is definitely easier said than done. It is so easy to fall into bad habits. Whether it’s sneaking a twinkie, having an extra glass of wine, or binge watching your guilty pleasure on Netflix, if you’re not careful your wellness could be compromised.
Trust me. I know what it’s like to have compromised wellness. I am a mother of two sweet boys, Aiden and King. If you are a woman, you can relate to gaining weight, having an unending amount of responsibilities, having little time to workout, and losing who you thought you were. Just when I thought my life was getting back to normal, I experienced the most devastating event of my life. My son King passed away suddenly. Grief, anxiety, depression, anger, and negative thoughts are amongst some of the feelings that engulfed me and compromised my wellness. In the midst of that situation, I truly lost who I was and couldn’t even fathom how to love myself again. I had to rebuild myself. I had to work on my mind first. Teaching myself to think positively about myself and my body. Next, came my body. I began to rebuild my strength physically by working out and eating healthily. In the midst of repairing my mind and body, my soul was rebuilt. It hasn’t been easy and I work each day towards total wellness. I know that you are coming to me with your own background, problems and issues. Rest assured that it is my goal to get you to a place where your mind, body and soul are as healthy as they can be.
I know what you’re thinking. She’s a trainer. She’s probably been working out all of her life. It’s easy for her. That’s partially true. Since I was a little girl, I watched my father, who was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes, reverse his diagnosis by working out and eating healthy. From him, I learned many of the habits that I now implement in my daily life. I wasn’t always serious about my health and fitness, but I’ve grown older and wiser. I am a NASM Certified Personal Training, doFIT Certified Fitness Professional, AAAI Master Certified Professional Trainer, and NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist. Despite your workout needs, I am qualified to handle them.
